What is the GST Calculator?

GST (Goods and Services Tax) is India's unified indirect tax on the supply of goods and services, charged at 5%, 12%, 18% or 28% depending on the item. For intra-state sales it splits equally into CGST and SGST.

How to Calculate

To add GST: GST = amount × rate, total = amount + GST. To extract GST from an inclusive price: base = amount ÷ (1 + rate). CGST and SGST are each half the GST.

Formula

GST = amount × rate%   CGST = SGST = GST ÷ 2
