Formula

GPA = Σ(grade points × credit hours) / Σ credit hours

Grade point scales vary by institution (commonly A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0 on a 4-point scale) — enter the grade points your institution assigns, not the letter grade.

Worked Example
