What is the FIRE Calculator?

FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) means having enough invested that a safe withdrawal (often 4%) covers your yearly spending, so work becomes optional.

How to Calculate

FIRE number = annual expenses ÷ safe withdrawal rate. We then grow your current savings plus monthly investments at your expected return until they reach it.

Formula

FIRE number = Annual expenses ÷ Withdrawal rate
