Age Calculator

An exact age calculator finds your precise age in years, months and days as of any date — not just a rounded figure. It's commonly used to check eligibility for school admissions, government exams, retirement benefits and other schemes that specify a minimum or maximum age as of a cutoff date, and simply for knowing exactly how far you are from your next birthday.

The calculator takes the number of full years between your date of birth and the target date, then counts the full months remaining after the last birthday, then the leftover days after the last full month — borrowing days or months where needed so each unit stays valid (for example, if your birth day-of-month hasn't occurred yet this month, it borrows a month and counts the days from the previous month instead).

Age isn't a simple subtraction of dates — the calculator finds the calendar difference between two dates, carrying over from days to months to years correctly (e.g. borrowing days from the previous month when the day-of-month of your birth date hasn't occurred yet in the current month).
